Accepting New Patients

We occasionally hear from patients that believe Family Medical Group is closed to new patients.  All of the providers at Family Medical Group are open to new patients, both pediatric and adults.  We accept most insurances.  Please contact the office at (209) 668-4101 to schedule your appointment.

After-Hours Office Visits Available

The doctors at Family Medical Group now see patients during evening hours on selected days throughout each month.  Visits start at 5:10 pm and go through 7:30 pm.  Patients are seen on the Same Day Care side during this time.  You may request an evening appointment with your doctor by calling our office or requesting an appointment online.

Pertussis (whooping cough) Update

California is in the midst of a pertussis epidemic with over 1500 cases reported in the state to date.  Infants are immunized for pertussis at 2/4/6 month visits but older children and adults may not have immunity as the effects of vaccination wear off.  Older children and adults may receive Adacel (tetanus/pertussis) booster shot to help protect them from whooping cough.  Contact our office if you are not certain whether you've been vaccinated recently.  Tetanus vaccination alone does not protect against pertussis.

School/Sports Physicals

All of the providers at Family Medical Group perform school and sports physicals, including filling out paperwork for schools and updating immunizations as needed.  Please check with your insurance company to see if sports physicals are covered under your plan as these sometimes need to be billed as a "well child" visit in order to be paid.  

Save Time Checking In

You can print and fill out your registration form before coming to our office to save time checking in.  We have recently upgraded to an electronic health record system which requires us to update each patient's personal and insurance information.    Go to Registration Forms to access the needed paperwork.  

Communicate With Our Practice Online

Over 2,300 patients at Family Medical Group use our online services to communicate with Family Medical Group providers and staff.  It's a great way to avoid the hassles of "phone tag," allowing you to leave a message at any time.

Free online services include: scheduling routine appointments, requesting lab/x-ray results, answering questions regarding billing issues and leaving updates on your condition with your provider.  Physician consultations for some health issues are available (fee may apply for this service).

Online services are meant for non-urgent needs and requests.  We strive to respond within 24 hours of your request.  For same day needs, please contact the office by phone at (209) 668-4101.
